Our Spring Jumble is next Saturday, 7th March, from 11am – 1pm. The Jumbles are usually one of our biggest fundraisers, and we need your help to make this jumble a success.
How can I help?
1) Volunteer
Sign-up to help sort and sell jumble here: https://doodle.com/poll/n7tb996ruzyn65qk.
Please sign up ASAP, to save us the last-minute worries there aren’t enough helpers!
Friday
We need helpers to sort jumble from 2-5 pm. It’s good fun, plus you have the chance for pre-sale buying and there’s copious tea for helpers and a DVD & popcorn for the children.
Saturday
Due to the volume of jumble, lots of Saturday helpers are needed: to sort (10-11am), sell (11am-1pm) tidy up (1pm onwards: the more help, the earlier we finish) and drive (>charity shops/tip). Please can we say again that early sign-up to the Doodle is greatly appreciated; we often find ourselves 2 days before the sale without enough Saturday helpers, so it would be fantastic to get early indications this time 🙂
2) Collect Jumble
Collect CLEAN and UNBROKEN jumble; we need good quality items that you would buy yourself at a jumble – please don’t bring items in poor condition, as we then have to recycle more items.
Please donate: clothes, books, toys, bric-a-brac, shoes (tied in pairs please), CDs & DVDs, baby items, school uniform etc. We don’t accept pillows, duvets, rugs, electrical items, videos, child/baby car seats or bike helmets.
3) Bring Jumble to School
Bags2School plastic sacks will be coming home via your class teacher.
As the school is currently recruiting a caretaker, we would be very grateful if you can save your jumble and only bring to school on Friday 6th March. You can come down the main drive and bring straight into the hall, thank you.
We will of course have jumble dropped off at the Front Entrance by our village community, which needs to be moved to the pump-house on KS2, so if you see volunteers moving jumble, please lend a hand!
Unsold, good quality items are collected by Bags2School, who pay according to the weight of fabric we collect, so thank you in advance for your donations.
4) Donate Cakes/Biscuits for the Café
We’d appreciate edible donations (nut free) to offer at the café on Saturday, please drop off at the School Office on Friday, or at the Hall from 3.20pm on Friday or from 10am on Saturday.
Thank you for your support and let’s get ready to jumble!
With best wishes,
The FOGG Committee
