AGM News.
Thank you to all who attended the FOGG AGM on Monday.
We welcomed 2 new committee members, Ashleigh White elected as Co-Chair and Sally Thorpe elected as Treasurer. Thank you to Georgina Mason and Susan Lomax who are the outgoing Treasurer and Co-Chair for all their hard work last year. Continuing committee members are Kathryn Quinn (co-chair), Clive Hall (secretary), Mrs Scrivner (Headteacher) and Miss Street (Lime Class Teacher).
Also new class reps volunteered – Ingaret Faulkner, Kate Redmond, Tara McGregor, Lucy Wilson, and Andy Wilson who join continuing class reps Francesca de Angeli, Ioana Campean, Alison Wright and Helen McLachlan to FOGG. Thank you’s also to all last year’s class reps who helped towards such a successful year.
Compiling the report for the AGM, we realised that there were 34 fun FOGG events last academic year (not all fundraisers) which were only possible due to the support, enthusiasm and commitment of parent, carers, children, extended family, Girton Glebe School staff, and the wider community.
Also reported was news that a very generous bequest was received towards the end of the summer term, from a local resident which will be discussed at the first committee meeting.
As we begin the school’s 65th anniversary year we remember all of those who have helped create the school our children so enjoy and care for.

Friends Of Girton Glebe, FOGG, is Girton Glebe’s PTA. We are a registered charity run by a dynamic and dedicated group of parents and school representatives. FOGG’s purpose is to support our school. We do this throughout the year with regular fundraising activities and events. All funds raised go towards the learning and wellbeing of the children at Girton Glebe, and our events help build a vibrant and cohesive community.
We have a rolling calendar of events including class cake sales which always go down a treat, well attended jumble sales and a very popular Christmas Fair, all run with the help of a merry band of volunteers from across our school community.
We have successfully raised funds for big and small projects including the upgrading of the school library computer system, and have begun phase two of the conversion of the Millennium Garden into an exciting outdoor learning space. With new projects and ideas taking shape, the next twelve months will be a busy period for the school and for FOGG.
Girton Glebe Primary School is at the heart of our village and FOGG is here to support the school and its community.
